Porta is a free and small utility which helps you create images galleries for upload to a web site.
If you're interested in creating an album with images to share with friends and you don't have a Facebook account, then Porta can be helpful. Just select the folder containing images you wish to publish, add descriptions and click on Start.
Porta supported JPG and TIFF images and create an HTML gallery complete with image thumbnails. Albums created with Porta are extremely simple and basic but can be customized by editing CSS files. Output by Porta will contain images which have been sized down to save on bandwidth and increase speed.
Though basic, Porta is an easy way to create simple web albums that are static and uploadable with your favorite FTP client.
